Meet The Team

Cassandra — or Cass, as she’s known to almost all campers, parents, and staff — brings more than 20 years of camp experience, leadership, and passion to her role as Director of TOP Sports Camps. Since joining the TOP Sports team, Cass has been the driving force behind our camp programs, leading with a clear vision to create an unforgettable sports camp experience where every child can grow, play, and thrive.

Before stepping into her role at TOP, Cass spent over a decade at one of Canada’s most well-known overnight camps — Onondaga Camp — where she served as the Assistant Director of Camp Life. In that role, Cass oversaw every detail of the camper experience, from day-to-day programming and camper wellness to risk management and emergency response. She also led a team of more than 150 seasonal staff, including Onondaga’s Section Head team, and played a central role in staff hiring, training, and leadership development. Her deep commitment to mentorship and team culture has shaped hundreds of young leaders who now work in education, coaching, recreation, and beyond.

Cass is equal parts strategic thinker and community builder. She brings a calm, thoughtful presence to everything she does, with a strong understanding of the operational backbone required to run safe and dynamic camps. She also knows that at the heart of every great program is connection — and Cass has a true gift for making everyone, from first-time campers to seasoned staff, feel seen and supported.

Her leadership at TOP Sports Camps has already been transformative. From refining programming and strengthening camper support systems, to elevating the training experience for our coaches and counsellors, Cass has set a new standard for excellence across the board. She is a passionate advocate for youth development, physical literacy, and play — and she works tirelessly to make sure every camper leaves TOP Sports Camps feeling more confident, more capable, and more connected than when they arrived.

When she’s not crafting up the next fun program, you can usually find Cass swapping stories with staff, troubleshooting with a walkie-talkie in hand, or cheering the loudest during camp competitions. She’s the kind of leader who remembers every camper’s name — and the kind of mentor who inspires young staff to become their best selves.
